Visionary Gives Back to the Community
Every year Visionary likes to do a number of projects to give back to the community. This year, Sarah Bailey challenged her co-workers to donate enough to make ten holiday food baskets for the City of Des Moines’ 30th Annual Holiday Food Project, which distributes baskets to 1,000 low-income households each season. One basket is enough to feed a family of 3 for 3-5 days, or 33 non-perishable food items. Visionary completely surpassed the goal by donating over 550 food items. “Everyone went above and beyond. We had friends, family, and even my PEO group bring in items for the drive. My co-workers were checking in daily to see what we still needed to meet our goal. I’m so proud of everyone’s efforts”, said Sarah Bailey. “Hopefully this makes quite a few people’s holidays just a little bit easier”.
