We recently worked with a manufacturing client facing exactly this situation. Their Power BI environment had served them well for years, but it had been built on top of a legacy database system that had grown harder and harder to maintain. Data pipelines were broken or missing. Reports weren't refreshing reliably. And critically, the team had limited visibility into what was actually feeding their dashboards in the first place.

Partway through the rebuild, our team hit a wall. A database table that several reports depended on simply didn't exist in the new system. Work stopped. We investigated, escalated to the client, and worked through it together.

Getting dashboards into the right hands meant working through Power BI Pro vs. Premium vs. Fabric options and embedding reports directly into the client's SharePoint environment. Several rounds of testing and careful configuration later, their whole team had access to clean, reliable data.
