Giving Our Time Where It Counts

At Visionary, we believe the communities that support us deserve our support in return. That's why our team gets Volunteer Time Off (VTO) hours to give back to the causes they care about most. This time, we're shining a light on how our Vice President, Kelli, uses her time to help fight human trafficking, 200 miles at a time.

Spotlight: Break the Cycle

Break the Cycle is an Iowa-based movement dedicated to raising awareness and funds to fight human trafficking and modern-day slavery. Founded in 2012, the organization brings people together through endurance events.

Funds raised support the work of Hope for Justice to identify victims, help survivors and prevent exploitation.

From Vice President to Ride Day Coordinator

Kelli serves as Visionary's Vice President, and she brings that same leadership to Break the Cycle as a board member and Day-of Event Coordinator. A 200-mile ride doesn't happen without serious planning behind the scenes, and Kelli helps manage the logistics that keep everything running smoothly.

Volunteers: organizing volunteers and their roles

Supplies & meals: coordinating supplies and food and planning meals

Route & stops: helping organize the route and support stops

Lodging: arranging places for riders and volunteers to stay

Transportation: getting riders home after they cross the finish

On Ride Day

Kelli helps pack the support vehicles, then sets up and manages support locations along the route. Whatever riders and volunteers need, she handles it, keeping the whole group moving toward Okoboji.

Why We Give Time Back

We're a Des Moines company, and our clients, neighbors and friends are right here in Iowa. VTO hours let our team step away from the screen and show up for the people and causes that make our communities stronger.

Kelli's work with Break the Cycle is a great example of what that time can do. Huge thanks to her and to every rider and volunteer who makes this ride possible.
