Let me give you an example of excellent customer service I recently received during a trip to the Omaha Zoo.
When searching for a nearby pizza place to stop for lunch, I used an app on my phone to look up “pizza” within a 5-mile radius of the zoo. Tip: if you’re a service-driven industry, this can be a valuable tool to help your business stand out.

The search results included the standard pizza chains as well as locally-owned restaurants. We decided to try Orsi’s Italian Bakery and Pizzeria – just a few miles from the zoo.
When we stepped into the small, brick building filled with family photos dating back 40 years, I knew immediately we'd made the right decision. The friendly staff greeted us with warm smiles and free homemade cheese sticks.
Not only was it the best pizza I’d had in years, the staff made the experience delightful and memorable. This experience reminded me about the importance of simple customer service.
