VSi Updates Camp Fire USA Website

Located in Central Iowa, Camp Fire USA Heart of the Hawkeye Council is a community-based non-profit organization that focuses on building caring, confident youth. In 2009, Visionary Services (VSi) worked with Camp Fire USA to create a newly designed website with upgraded content management tools. A year later, VSi and Camp Fire USA teamed up again for phase two of their website that included updates to Camp Fire USA’s online registration process.

VSi added the ability for the user to select more than one child per program or event organized by Camp Fire USA. Now a parent or guardian can add up to five children during the checkout process instead of reprocessing the registration sign-up for each child.

Another update VSi made to their registration process was the addition of à la carte options for specific programs. This new addition allows Camp Fire employees to better handle the registration process because the parent of guardian signing up for a program has the opportunity to add on specific activities during checkout. This allows for better planning for Camp Fire USA employees and those participating in the programs of all optional activities.

These updates highlight how businesses and organizations can continue making enhancements to their sites through phases. This helps both the client and VSi when planning future budgets and timelines.
