Senior Project Manager Nominated for Leadership Award
Laine Mendenhall, Senior Project Manager at Visionary Services, Inc. (VSi), was nominated for the Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) Women of Innovation Award and named a finalist in the category Small Business Innovation and Leadership. The award ceremony held at the Hy-Vee Conference Center on Thursday, November 11, will honor women who are pioneers in science, technology, and engineering fields.
Over the past three years, Laine has been instrumental in VSi’s growth into the small and medium sized website market. In 2007 VSi’s contract development team hosted a little under 50 websites. Now, through three acquisitions, employee growth, sales, and a lot of hard work, the VSi contract development team now hosts nearly 300 websites. The team's growth and momentum is a result of Laine's energy and enthusiasm that she brings to VSi every day.
Laine was also recently accepted to the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute (GDMLI). Every year the GDMLI selects a small group of Central Iowa business professionals for their Community Leadership Program. The nine-month program is designed to improve members leadership skills and increase community awareness while networking with other area professionals.
Overseeing almost 300 websites, the contract development team and attending GDMLI meetings, Laine often leaves her coworkers in awe of everything she accomplishes. Her vision, passion and expertise make her an integral part of the VSi team and to the future growth and success of the company.
