Mackenzie is jumping into a range of projects—from mastering WordPress to bringing fresh ideas and enthusiasm that help our support our team in both big and small ways. We’re excited to have her with us this season and can’t wait for you to get to know her!

Start by telling everyone about yourself:
I’m a rising junior at Iowa State University, pursuing a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice—Go Cyclones! My ultimate career goal is to work in Behavioral Analysis or Victim Rehabilitation.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
I’m really passionate about ceramics—I spend lots of time shaping clay on and off the wheel. I’m also a huge fan of board and card games, especially strategy ones. Some of my favorites include Magic: The Gathering, Catan, Phase Ten, and Cribbage.
What have you enjoyed about Visionary so far?
I love the variety! It’s great to be involved in big projects while also jumping into the fun little things—like potting our new office plants.
What is your favorite place to eat in Des Moines?
Bubba Southern Comforts downtown! Their Pimento Mac n’ Cheese is next level, especially when I add crispy chicken and an extra side of ranch.
What is your favorite season and why?
Fall, hands down. The colors, the crisp cool air, and cozy rainy days make it my favorite time of year.
What is the best book or blog you’ve read lately?
I’m obsessed with Bram Stoker’s original Dracula —I’ve read it at least ten times!
What is something you could not go one day without?
Cereal! I cycle through Captain Crunch, Strawberry Special K, and sometimes I dare to indulge in Reese’s Puffs.

What are you loving at the moment?
Learning! Whether it’s in class or here at Visionary, I’m always excited to discover something new or find fresh ways to tackle challenges.
