Get to Know Systems Administrator Almedin Harbas
Start off by telling everyone about yourself:
My name is Almedin Harbas, I am from Bosnia & Hercegovina.
What is your professional background?
I went to DMACC where I studied Information Technology Network Administration. While at DMACC, I did desktop support for a small company in the metro area. I then went to Grand View University where I intensively pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems. While at Grandview, I played a role as a Server Technician at the Microsoft data center in West Des Moines.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
Soccer, lift weights, listen to live music, ride motorcycles, read, and watch movies/shows with my friends and family.
What have you enjoyed about Visionary so far?
I have enjoyed meeting all of the new people and making new friends!
Where is your favorite place to eat in Des Moines?
My favorite place to eat in Des Moines is Chipotle, until In-N-Out comes to town!
What is your favorite season and why?
Summer because...pool weather!
Best book or blog you've read lately?
A good book I’ve read lately is “Pound the Stone” by Joshua Medcalf.
What is one thing you could not live a day without?
Oxygen!

What are you loving at the moment?
Currently re-watching Game of Thrones from start to finish and reading a new book “Chop Wood Carry Water”, also by Joshua Medcalf.
