Get To Know: Software Developer Adam Logan

Start off by telling everyone about yourself:

I grew up in Urbandale with 2 siblings, a brother (older) and a sister (younger).  My dad is a programmer, using COBOL, and a businessman.  I grew up loving computers and always enjoyed learning about them from my dad. Although I am a quiet person, I love to travel, try new things, and ride my bike.   

What is your professional background?

Before I was a Software Developer, I was an Assistant Manager for Pizza Hut.  Once deciding to pursue my degree at Des Moines Area Community College, I graduated with an AAS degree in Web Development.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

I enjoy riding my bike, traveling, basketball, video games, and love to try anything new.

What have you enjoyed about Visionary so far?

The collaboration is the best part, everyone is willing to answer a question, even if it isn’t something they do often.  Teamwork makes the dream work!

Where is your favorite place to eat in Des Moines?

My fiancé and I love Spaghetti Works, it was the location of our first date, and we can never get enough of the all you can eat pasta!

What is your favorite season and why?

I love all 4 seasons because, how could you live with just one? I love the variety of the seasons and each season brings something special. I don’t think I could live in Florida or anywhere there isn’t 4 seasons.

Best book or blog you've read lately?

Haven’t been able to do much reading lately, but my all-time favorite series is Harry Potter.

What is one thing you could not live a day without?

There is nothing that I couldn’t live without for one day.

What are your words to live by?

You will only fail to learn if you do not learn from failing.

What are you loving at the moment?

Just got a VR headset, loving the games and watching movies with it.

Anything else we should know?

I will be getting married in 2020 to my beautiful fiancé Baily!  We have a Holland Lop, (a type of bunny breed), who is named Flynn!
