Get to Know: Becca Saladin
Production specialist Becca Saladin loves a lot of things. Of couse, she loves design. But she's also a lover of exploring, sleeping, dogs, family, and fine art.
One thing is certain, though: Since joining the staff in February, her many loves have left Visionary Services well stocked with creative firepower.

Start off by telling everyone a little about yourself:
I am very family oriented, and love spending time with family and friends. I love dogs, and can’t wait to get my new puppy in mid May. I love designing websites, and my love of fine art definitely influences the way I do graphic design.
Where did you go to school and what did you study?
I will graduate in May 2014 from Iowa State University with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Advertising.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
In my free time I like to read and work out, as well as paint and do digital illustration if I have time. I am a sucker for TV shows like Scandal, the Walking Dead, and the Big Bang Theory.
Where is your favorite place to eat in Des Moines?
I really enjoy Star Bar. Best burgers in town!
Best book or blog you've read lately?
I am always interested in the Smashing Magazine blog. They have a lot of great insight about web and interface design, and it keeps me updated on the latest trends and technologies.
What is one thing you could not live a day without?
Chapstick or a hairbrush.
What is something you are loving at the moment?
I’m really obsessed with this app called SleepCycle. I love sleeping. This app tracks how well you are sleeping based on movement. It also wakes you up when you are in the least deep sleep. It makes you feel more rested in the morning.
